How do I get replacement parts for my furniture?
Please contact the authorized retailer from which you purchased your furniture to request replacement or missing parts. Michael Nicholas Designs cannot send any components or materials directly to the end consumer.
How should I care for my back pillows and throw pillows?
Fill clumping and feather migration are a natural occurrence for Michael Nicholas Designs products. To help your cushions overcome this, fluff, massage and rotate daily for a lifetime of comfort and enjoyment! This simple method allows for even redistribution of fiber throughout the casings and minimizes the migration of feathers through the down-proof ticking material and fabric application.
How can I wash the covers on my furniture?
It is not advisable to machine wash your furniture covers under any circumstances. Upholstery fabric is woven with a specific intended use and may fade, fray, or unravel under the conditions of your washer and/or dryer. Michael Nicholas Designs recommends getting your furniture covers professionally cleaned as needed.
Are flattening cushions normal?
Please expect your cushions to soften between 10-15% from their factory fresh condition. All seat cushions will need to be flipped and rotated frequently (similar to tires on a car) for even wear. Fortunately the majority of Michael Nicholas Designs products feature reversible seat cushions. True flattening cushions, where the foam remains compressed after pressure is applied, is not common.
Why are there feathers coming out of my down/feather filled sofa?
Feather migration within and outside of a down/feather blend seat cushion, back pillow, or throw pillow is completely normal. In fact, it is one of the characteristics that gives this seating construction its comfort. And while feathers will migrate out of the down/feather envelope with normal use, the regular required maintenance is well worth it. Please refer to our Upkeep section for more details.
Can I purchase furniture directly from Michael Nicholas Designs?
First and foremost, thank you for your interest in Michael Nicholas Designs products! While we are excited that you are considering making a purchase, Michael Nicholas Designs cannot sell products directly to the end consumer.
